The first IEEE Nordic SYP Congress was held from 6th to 8th November, 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden. The event was combined together with IEEE Sweden Section 50th Anniversary Celebrations that was held on the afternoon of the first day of the Congress.

The participants who hailed from Nordic and Baltic countries, were given accommodation at Stockholm, located centrally in Stockholm. The venue of the event was the KTH Royal Institute of Technology Kista Campus, which is also one of the oldest student branch in R8, formed in 1967.

Overall the inaugural event was deemed a success and an event worth building on.
The coming together of different countries in the spirit of cross border cooperation drove the event forward and made it as enjoyable as it was productive.
