Rebeccah Kimotho will be giving a talk entitled “Eaton: Energy efficiency improvements of UPS” at the IEEE Nordic SYP 2019. Rebeccah was a smart grids student in Tampere University of Technology majoring in power electronics, specifically power quality and renewable energy with an interest in embedded systems. She will be presenting Eaton, and the work they do in sustainability and energy efficiency, at NSYP19.

Eaton is world-leading producer of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) offering those in large power scale from kilowatts to megawatts. The need of UPS increases in the future due to increased use of electric energy.

UPS is critical to proof e.g. the reliable operation of data centers. Due to the increased amount of UPS, high energy efficiency is critical to the overall energy efficiency of the power system.

Eaton will come and present innovations related to improving the energy efficiency and reliability of UPS. This talk is not to be missed by anyone with an interest in energy efficiency in uninterruptible power supplies.
