Refund Terms and Conditions

Our contract

It is essential that you carefully read and understand these booking conditions which contain important information. They constitute a contract between you, and the IEEE Nordic Student and Young Professionals organizing committee 2019, for the services provided by the aforementioned committee. It sets out the basis of your legal relationship with us. By booking with us you acknowledge that you have read and understood, and that you agree to be bound by these Booking Conditions.   1. Cancellation by you
    If you wish to cancel all or any part of your booking, notification of cancellation must be made to the NSYP19 organizing committee in writing. The date when written confirmation of cancellation is received by NSYP19 organizing committee will determine the charges applicable. Loss of money paid is as follows (unless agreed otherwise in writing):
    1. Within 35 days before the start of the event – the cost of accommodation purchased will be deducted from the refund, along with any administration costs needed to carry out the refund. If a cancellation is made within 30 days of the start of the conference, the refund is made after the event.
    2. 5 days or less – loss of 100% of the total booking cost. Additional NSYP19 organizing committee cancellation penalties may apply. No refunds will be made if you leave an activity or experience for any reason after the activity or experience has begun.
    3. More than 35 days before the start of the event – The refund may be reduced by a fee to cover the administrative costs of processing and refunding a registration.
  2. Booking Amendments
    If you need to change your booking or any part of your booking before the start of your experience, we reserve the right to charge a transfer fee to cover administration costs. You will be informed of any such fee. Any transfer fee must be paid prior to the commencement of the amended booking.
  3. Refund process policy
    Any refunds will be made to the same account that paid the original registration fee. If it is no longer possible to refund money to the original account extra administration charges may apply or the registration fee may be forfeited.
  4. Governing law
    This contract and all matters arising from it are subject to the laws of Sweden and only Swedish courts will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising under this contract.
